Original Coyote Chorus- I AM ORIGINAL COYOTE!! I'm the original or did you forget? You try to push away, forget how we met (Chorus) I used to run with many now I run alone Sometimes I see others whose eyes are like my own (Chorus) Solo: Black Gotta keep it movin' when the job is done Back into the wild, ya'll can have yer fun (Chorus) Solo: Black & Muller You don't have to look at me when I call to you Doesn't matter to me the way it does to you Just doesn't mean to me what it means to you

What Will Be 04:24
What Will Be Maybe one day, maybe another A day to remember, a day like no other Running from those childish fears I didn't see those lonely tears All this time our fate draws near Neither now nor then will the smoke clear Never if but only a question of when Eventually this life will end Chorus- What will be of you and me? Who are we if we're not obscene? Solo: Muller What has been can not be changed We will win the future's not arranged What we see can be twisted by hate Come with me, it's never too late (Chorus) Solo: Muller
3.
Lie For Love 04:16
Lie For Love Why do we lie for love? Not something I'm proud of Was it learned in my youth? Faces protect the truth What were we dreaming of? Not something to let go of Why do we lie for love? Not something I'm devoid of Was it just lacking truth? She was more than a sleuth What were you dreaming of? Something that you can't speak of Chorus- Why do we lie for love? Not something I'm proud of Bank of the pain for later Maybe I'll intoxicate her Solo: Muller Why do we lie for love? Not something innocent of Why do we cry for love? Something to get a hold of Would you die for love? That's something I'm certain of (Chorus) Solo: Muller
4.
Crack in the Dam There's a crack in the dam Some waters seeping through There's a crack in the dam Don't know what I'm gonna do The waters intruding, it's been flowing all my life It leaks in my days and creeps in my nights There's a crack in the dam And I'm plugging all the holes I'm trying to hold on As the waves take their toll I'm trying to hold on the best that I can I've seen this before, I know where to bend Chorus- There's a crack in the dam, yeah! Solo: Muller There comes a breaking point Where you let the flood be Where let it all go In the gaps that you feel Then let it all flow like a natural stream I take what I need and let the rest flow down the stream (Chorus)
5.
Mexican Rain 05:37
Mexican Rain You could never guess the pain she's been through When those angel eyes look back at you Staring back with that gypsy grin Like she knows exactly where you've been Chorus- She's my beautiful mexican rain Guess the reason that you'd never know Is some hearts just cannot stay closed No matter what is thrown their way They were made to go all the way (Chorus) Solo: Black A force of nature you find in this world An energy you can't put in words She knows secrets she can't tell As she makes you drink her magic spell (Chorus) Solo: Muller
6.
Murderskin 07:49
Murderskin I will lose everything... When it means anything... Chorus- Wake up with it all on fire... Murderskin! I will walk on water... You're a little shorter... (Chorus) I am nothing... You took everything.... (Chorus) You wake up with it all on fire Only one desire You work hard everyday, put your money away Then she decided to go another way I'm nothing... Now you took everything........ Solo: Muller!!
7.
Somebody's Gonna Kill Me Somebody's gonna kill me If I let them in Somebody's gonna use me If I open the door Can't take it anymore, I can't take it anymore Solo: Muller Somebody's gonna kill me And I can't take anymore Can't take it anymore, I can't take it anymore!

Lonely Road 03:58
Lonely Road I don't know when I'm gonna go That's why I can never walk slow Never been much of a crowd pleaser Thought my life would get so much easier Feet hurt but my mind is clear Walking next to her is my only fear Chorus- I walk... this lonely road (Never do what I'm told) I walk... this lonely road (Never gonna get old) Father said that I'd eventually fold He thought I could never break his mole Never gonna be like that man He ran from confrontation, I'll take a stand I lack Shakespeare's milk of human kindness He'll never understand how I deal with my stress (Chorus) Solo: Muller Life is full of doubt and misdirection Zombies walking through without detection Sick of these passive aggressive fools Live by the law but always break the rules I'm putting miles beneath my feet Hoping and praying that we never meet (Chorus)
9.
Stuntman 06:19
Stuntman I've been knocked down so many times I shoulda been a stuntman I coulda made a dime I've chewed up and spit out I shoulda been a stuntman That's without a doubt Chorus- Twisting and a-turning from the pain inside Oh Lord! Twisting and a-turning from the pain inside Grant me one last ride! I've been knocked down so many times I shoulda been a stuntman I coulda made a dime I've been laughed at and made to dance I coulda been a stuntman Afraid to take that chance (Chorus) Solo: Muller I've been knocked down so many times I shoulda been a stuntman I coulda made a dime I've been thrown out and kicked aside I looked up to the heavens Begging for one last ride!! (Chorus) Solo: Muller

about

Formed in the spring of 2014 by a group of Brazilian jujitsu practitioners, who also had a love of rock n roll, American Spirit's first practices were held in the back of an MMA academy owned and operated by a decorated black belt who also had remained undefeated as a MMA fighter. Professor Tom Muller, NOHO MMA, would go on to become the lead guitarist and a major songwriting force in the group.

The combat musicians started their musical journey covering songs by such groups as the Ramones and the Misfits but soon began working on their own material . Professor Muller, rhythm guitarist and co-songwriter Edson Black and drummer Doug Brown would work together creating what would eventually make up their debut album.

The band moved their base of operations from the academy to a potato chip warehouse where they really began to find their sound. After a period of time without a steady lead singer, Tom Doyle, who had previously worked with both Muller and Brown on earlier projects, was brought on board as the band's bass player and lead singer. Once they added Doyle's hard driving, pure rock n roll voice and bass grooves the four gelled quickly and the band seemed to finally be complete.

American spirit plays a unique blend of rock, punk, and metal that blasts straight out of the garage (or warehouse in this case) and hits you right between the eyes. As they've played, their influences have become more varied from their punkish beginnings. Subtle nods to bands ranging from Iron Maiden to Bruce Springsteen can be heard on their debut album, Original Coyote. Hopefully this is only the beginning of the journey that started in one of the most unlikely of places. A place where people learn to kick ass. Actually, come to think of it, maybe the original location couldn't have been any more appropriate.
